Jennifer Deliganis, LPC-S

Ms. Jennifer Deliganis is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S) from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, where she earned her Masters of Science in Counseling in 1999 with a specialization in children, adolescents, and families.  Jennifer received her License as a Professional Counselor in 2005 and she became a LPC - Supervisor in 2016.

Jennifer’s clinical experience and training extends to providing counseling services in both agency and private practice settings. Jennifer is a trauma-informed practitioner who has extensive knowledge and experience working with individuals of all ages and families who have been affected by crime, violence, and other forms of trauma.  Jennifer has advanced trainings in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Therapy & Movement, Play Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Jennifer’s specializations include assisting individuals of all ages and their families who struggle with childhood attachment trauma, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), complex-PTSD, anxiety, depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), phobia, panic, bereavement, grief, behavior problems, and suicidal ideation.

Through the counseling process, Jennifer strives to help each client identify destructive patterns, whether they be in thoughts or behaviors that seem to keep them and those around them stuck and unbalanced in their day to day. Jennifer believes that to accurately identify these negative cognitive and behavioral patterns that it is necessary to explore stressful experiences and relationships from the individual’s past and present life. As these stressors are identified, Jennifer assists each client with setting goals, creating positive resources, and coping tools to manage or relieve these stressors and working towards restoring balance for the individual and their loved ones.
