Micholyn Gayoso, Psy.D.
Dr. Micholyn Gayoso is a licensed psychologist from the Texas School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University Dallas where she earned her Doctorate and Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology. She obtained her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from The University of Maryland University College. Her experience includes clinical training in private practice, juvenile and adult correction, and within the school systems.
Dr. Gayoso has extensive experience in a variety of psychological assessments including testing for: ADHD, learning differences, giftedness, academic achievement, personality disorders, mood disturbance and other mental health disorders. She also has experience in psychotherapy, forensics, and neuropsychological testing. More specifically, Dr. Gayoso has experience helping children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families work through a variety of issues and conflicts. She has worked with at-risk youth and their families; individuals who suffer from depression, anxiety, and various other mental health conditions; couples with communication difficulties; and crisis intervention. Her theoretical orientation includes: Systems Theory encompassed in Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy.
