Licensed psychologist with over 20 years of experience providing therapy, evaluations, and consultation for children, adolescents, couples, and families. Dr. Sanford specializes in complex diagnostic cases and takes a strengths-based, culturally responsive approach to help clients find clarity and direction.

Dr. Sanford’s training in interpersonal, attachment, and cognitive-behavioral theories, as well as complex trauma and complicated family systems, enables her to work effectively with clients across the lifespan. She employs a systemic approach to deliver high-quality psychological services to families.

Dr. Sanford enjoys collaborating with clients and professionals to deepen understanding of challenges related to ADHD, mood disorders, autism, and traumatic experiences. She prioritizes a strengths-based approach to help clients comprehend their diagnoses and develop treatment recommendations that foster positive change.

Originally from the Midwest, Dr. Sanford has lived in Dallas for more than 15 years. In addition to her direct client services, she has extensive experience training mental health professionals. Collaboration, cultural responsiveness, and continuous learning are foundational to her work. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Verena Harter, Psy.D.

Autism ADHD Neuropsych Depression & Anxiety

Licensed psychologist with over 15 years of experience specializing in comprehensive neuropsychological assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, depression, anxiety, and other neurodevelopmental and mental health conditions. She is dedicated to a collaborative and thorough evaluation process, ensuring clients receive evidence-based care.

Full bio & training

Dr. Harter’s clinical background spans inpatient settings, community mental health centers, long-term care facilities, and private practice. She has also supervised Licensed Psychological Associates, Provisionally Licensed Psychologists, and practicum students from Southern Methodist University.

Dr. Harter strives to create a welcoming environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout the evaluation process. She is passionate about helping families find clarity and direction and is grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact in their lives.

Dr. Harter is married and has two children. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with her family, attending her children’s sporting events, hiking, camping, and biking.
